Clemson Tigers Fire Head Coach Tommy Bowden

The Clemson Tigers have fired head coach Tommy Bowden following the football team’s disappointing 3-3 start after opening the season ranked #9 in the AP Top 25.

Clemson was pounded by Alabama in their opener and then rattled off wins against Citadel, North Carolina State and South Carolina State but then dropped ACC match-ups against Maryland and Wake Forest to drop to 1-2 in the conference.

Bowden was in his tenth season with Clemson and had led the Tigers to eight bowl appearances but had never won an ACC title.
