The Giants (5-0), the reigning Super Bowl champions, are one of just two undefeated teams in the NFL, sitting atop the NFC East, widely considered the best division in football.
The Giants are led by Eli Manning, who is sixth in the NFL in passer rating (99.7). The Giants offense is first in the NFL in scoring, total offense and rushing yards. They are also sixth in passing yards. Their offense is led by committee with two running backs (Brandon Jacobs and Derrick Ward) and a nice corps of wide receivers led by Plaxico Burress.
On defense, the Giants are just as impressive, ranking in the top 10 in the NFL in scoring defense(2nd), total yards (3rd), passing defense (1st) and rushing defense (6th). Despite losing Michael Strahan to retirement and Osi Umenyiora to a season-ending injury, the Giants defense is one of the best in the NFL.
The Browns, on the contrary, are one of the NFL's most disappointing teams. They entered the season with lofty expectations after a great season last year. This season, they are just 1-3 after losing their first three games.
The Browns offense, which last year received high remarks, is dead last in the NFL in scoring offense, total offense and passing offense. All-Pro tight end Kellen Winslow was recently released from the hospital, but is listed as questionable for Monday's game.
On defense, the Browns are actually good, ranking in the top 10 in scoring defense and passing defense.
