Mattel Inc (NYSE:MAT) to Release Q3 2008 Earnings October 20

Mattel, Inc (NYSE:MAT) will release the third quarter earnings for 2008 on Monday, October 20.  A conference call will be web casted that morning at 8:00 am ET, discussing the financial results.  The call will be hosted by Mattel chairman and CEO Robert Eckert and will be posted on the Investors & Media section of the company’s website, mattel.com.

Mattel, Inc. designs, manufactures and markets a variety of toy products worldwide through sales to its customers and directly to consumers. Its portfolio of brands and products are grouped as Mattel Girls & Boys brands, including Barbie fashion dolls and accessories, Polly Pocket!, Little Mommy, Disney Classics, Pixel Chix, and High School Musical, Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Tyco R/C vehicles and playsets, and CARS, Radica products, and games and puzzles; Fisher-Price brands, including Fisher-Price, Little People, BabyGear and View-Master, Sesame Street, Dora the Explorer, Winnie the Pooh, Go-Diego-Go!, and See ‘N Say and Power Wheels, and American Girl brands, including Just Like You, the historical collection and Bitty Baby.

On August 16, 2007, it acquired the rights to manufacture, distribute and market several game properties, including Apples to Apples, Snorta and Blink. On May 23, 2007, it acquired Origin Products Limited. On October 3, 2006, it acquired Radica Games Limited.
