World Cup 2010 European Qualifier Group Three Schedule for Oct. 15
Group Three in the World Cup European qualifier will receive a serious shakeup on Wednesday as all four of the top teams square off in what could determine the path to South Africa for 2010. Both Poland and Slovenia are sitting on seven points but Slovakia is close behind with six points while the Czech Republic needs a win to remain a contender for South Africa.
Slovenia is coming off a 2-0 victory over Northern Ireland on Sunday and will be facing a Czech Republic side that fell to Poland 2-1 and now faces a must-win.
In the game of the group Poland and Slovakia face off in what promises to be a heated match. Poland has been solid in their three matches thus far while Slovakia bounced back from their loss to Slovenia with a 3-1 victory over San Marino on Sunday.
Northern Ireland will take on a pointless San Marino as both sides have struggled to get anything going in Group Three play.
