Markku captures Scheila 596 using GRAS011, Mayhill New Mexico, USA

Unusual display detected making this an unusual object to study.

Markku is an amateur astronomer from Eastern Finland. he hasbeen involved in research activities with local amateur astronomers in Taurus Hill Observatory, which is located about 35 km from Varkaus in Kangaslampi, Finland.

My special interest in scientific research is in supernovae and optical transients; especially like Gamma Ray Burst optical transients.

I have been imaging with the GRAS system many times successfully using the Global-Rent-a-Scope remote observatory network.  The quality of GRAS system is very high and results have been very good.  Every imaging and research task I have done in the many years I have been using GRAS system has produced excellent results.

Here is my latest capture of Scheila, a very unusual minor planet which is displaying characteristics of a comet.
