Kate Garraway would love to sleep late at Christmas.
The 'Daybreak' presenter – who has Darcy, four, and 26-month-old Billy
with husband Derek Draper – admits her job on the ITV1 early morning
show leaves her exhausted, but she knows she is unlikely to get any
extra time in bed over the festive season.
She said: “All I want for Christmas is a couple of extra hours in the
day or maybe a lie-in. I am working straight through, but we are lucky
that Christmas Day and Boxing Day are on the weekend, so I’ll have
those off. It’s the nicest present I can get.”
Despite dreaming of more sleep, Kate loves Christmas and says the festive season is more magical than ever now she is a mother.
She added: “I love Christmas and when you have children it really
reinvents itself which is fantastic. You get a whole new thing.
