Narconon Drug Rehab Center Participates in Local Christmas Parade

Treatment facility showing their support for the local community this holiday season.

Oklahoma- Narconon Arrowhead, one of the largest and most successful drug rehab centers in the world, strives to help those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction during the holiday season. This week the treatment program took part in several local parades where they unveiled their holiday float which was worked on by staff and clients of the facility.

The parades were held on the 2nd of December in McAlester, Oklahoma and on the 4th of December in Eufaula, Stigler and Checotah. The theme this year is “Better to Give Than to Receive” and Narconon kept this in mind as the facility is working hard to give back to their community in hope that they can help the lives of those living closest to them.

At these parades, Narconon staff members and residents rode on the float, passing out candy and drug education information to the children of the community.

“By getting involved in community sponsored events such as these parades,” says John Bitinas, Director of Drug Education for Narconon Arrowhead. “We are not only able to get more information about addiction and drug education out to the youth, but we are also able to let the community know about the good works that Narconon does as an organization.”

On December 9th, Narconon is also participating in many other community sponsored Christmas events, including the “Holiday Fun Fest”, where the Eufaula Indian Dormitory children will join Narconon drug rehab center staff and residents for a festive night of holiday cheer where each child will receive a stocking and presents from Santa.
.
“We want to give our support to the events and show the surrounding community how much we care” says Bitinas. “The holidays are about family and community and helping others.”

Narconon is also working with the local area by providing drug education to both youth and adults throughout the state of Oklahoma during the holiday season.
