Coronation Street's Tracy Barlow will be left fighting for her life after an attempted murder on New Year's Eve (31.12.10).
The bolshie baddie - who will sensationally return to the ITV1 soap on
Christmas Eve (24.12.10) after being freed from prison following a
retrial - is not going to be welcomed with open arms by everyone on the
cobbles, namely her former flame Steve's (Simon Gregoson) new wife
Becky McDonald (Katherine Kelly).
A production source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Anyone expecting
things to calm down in the wake of the tram crash is in for a shock.
The coming weeks are set to be a rollercoaster, climaxing in a huge
drama on New Year's Eve when someone attempts to murder Tracy Barlow
(Kate Ford).
"All the fingers are pointing at Becky McDonald, but it's going to be incredible."
Elsewhere on 'Coronation Street', soldier Gary Windass (Mikey North) -
who is suffering from post-traumatic stress after serving in
Afghanistan - will be thrown out of the Army after attacking a police
officer on a drunken night out.
An insider explained: "Gary is devastated when he is discharged from
the Army. He pleads with his bosses but is told they have no option."
