Man baffles police
Canadian police are investigating how a man who had barricaded himself inside a home for eight days escaped.
Despite a large police presence outside the house, Leo Crockwell was
able to slip away without officers realising before being arrested 20
kilometres away.
Police said he was able to leave by distracting them with noise from a hose pumping water into the house.
A spokesman said: "The noise created by the introduction of the water
affected our ability to use audio and video assets which had been
engaged to monitor Crockwell's movements in the home.As a result he
managed to leave the home by a yet unknown exit."
