Stocks Lower After Equity Offerings

Lannett Company, Inc. (AMEX:LCI) plunged 14.31% to $5.03. The company announced that it has priced an underwritten public offering of an aggregate of 5,000,000 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $5.00 per share. The Company has offered 2,500,000 shares of common stock and a selling stockholder of the Company has offered 2,500,000 shares of common stock.

The offering is expected to close on or about December 17, 2010.

The stock has average daily volume of 87K shares. At current market price, the market capitalization of the company stands at $127 million.

Dynex Capital, Inc. (NYSE:DX) fell 1.95% to $10.55 on unusual volumes. The company announced that it plans to offer, 5,000,000 shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. The Company also plans to grant the underwriters an option for 30 days to purchase up to an additional 750,000 shares of common stock. JMP Securities LLC is the sole bookrunner for the offering and Sterne, Agee & Leach, Inc. is a co-manager for the offering.

The stock opened at $10.49 and is trading within the range of $10.42-$10.66. The stock jumped more than 20% year-to-date.

International Coal Group, Inc. (NYSE:ICO) slumped 12.38% to $7.15. The company announced the pricing of a registered underwritten offering of 12,268,700 and 22,577,800 shares of the Company's common stock by affiliates of each of WL Ross & Co. and Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited, respectively.  

The stock has average daily volume of 2.99 million shares.
