Angry that his teenage daughter was dating an older man, Helmut Seifert, 47, went to the 57-year-old's Phillip Genscher home in Bielefeld Germany and castrated him with a bread knife, police said.
According to police, with the help of two factory co-workers, Seifert went to Genscher's northern Germany home, forced Genscher to remove his trousers, and sliced his testicles off. The severed testicles were then taken away by trio of men.
The Genscher was close to bleeding to death but managed to call police. His life was saved but he remains a eunuch for life.
Seifert pleaded guilty and will be on trial for attempted murder next year. But he has remained silent on who his accomplices were.
After being arrested Seifert later stated, "I saw it as my duty as a father."
