The third and final presidential debate on the 2008 schedule between Sen. John McCain and Sen. Barack Obama will take place Wednesday, October 15.
The presidential debate will be held at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y. and will focus on domestic policy. Bob Schieffer of CBS's "Face the Nation" will serve as the moderator for the debate.
The first debate on the schedule took place Friday, September 26, 2008 at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS. Jim Lehrer, the host of PBS's "News Hour," was the moderator for the debate. The debate focused on foreign policy, but also discussed the economic crisis.
The second debate was held as a town hall meeting on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, as Tom Brokaw, the legendary reporter and host of NBC's "Meet the Press", was the moderator.
The debate will begin at 9pm EST (6pm PST) and last for 90 minutes. They will be aired on every major broadcast network such as CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX. They will also be aired on cable outlets such as Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, and many others.
