Former First Lady Nancy Reagan Recovering from Pelvis, Sacrum Fracture

Former First Lady Nancy Reagan will remain in the hospital for a few days after fracturing her pelvis and sacrum on Wednesday.

Reagan, the widow of President Ronald Reagan, experienced persistent pain after falling in her Los Angeles home last week.

She admitted herself to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center for tests which revealed the injuries to her pelvis and sacrum, a bone at the base of the spine. She is expected to recover in six to eight weeks with physical therapy and a modified schedule.

Nancy and Ronald Reagan were married for 52 years, until his death in 2004. The couple had four children. Reagan spent eight years in the White House after Ronald served two terms as California governor.
