World Cup 2010 European Qualifier Group One Scores for Oct. 15
Group One action in the World Cup European qualifying stage featured a pair of matches on Wednesday and Hungary took care of business while Portugal suffered a potentially devastating blow to their South African dreams with a draw.
Hungary took care of Malta 1-0 on Wednesday to move to seven points after four matches. Their seven points put them even with Denmark atop the group but Demark has played one less match. Malta continues to struggle, still yet to score a goal in four matches.
Portugal needed a win to get on track for a World Cup ticket but a 0-0 draw with Albania has put a serious snag in their plans. After four matches they now have five points, as does Albania. Both sides are chasing Denmark, Hungary and Sweden.
