World Cup 2010 European Qualifier Group Three Scores for Oct. 15
Group Three of the 2010 World Cup European qualifying stage featured three matches on Wednesday and Slovakia came out as the big winner with a win over Poland and a loss by Slovenia left the atop the group with two points in hand.
Slovakia remains undefeated in group action after dropping Poland 2-1 on Wednesday and with nine points they sit two ahead of Poland who suffered its first loss of group play.
The Czech Republic are trying to make a move and they earned a badly needed win on Wednesday when they knocked off Slovenia 1-0. They now have four points with one less match than those ahead of them in Group Three. Slovenia had a great chance to move atop the group but couldn’t get it done.
Northern Ireland embarrassed San Marino 4-0 on Wednesday to earn their first win in group play and now have four points.
