World Cup 2010 European Qualifier Group Five Scores for Oct. 15
Group Five in the 2010 World Cup European qualifying stage picked up action on Wednesday with three matches and it became clear that the only question about the group would who would finish second as Spain continued its dominant run with its fourth victory.
Spain dropped Belgium 2-1 to 4-0 in group play and now has 12 points, a clear 4-point lead over second place Turkey. The only thing that went wrong for Spain was seeing their streak off three straight shutouts end.
Turkey grabbed a point on Wednesday after playing to a 0-0 draw with Estonia and now has eight points, good enough for second in the group. The draw earned Estonia their first points in group play.
Bosnia-Herzegovina pushed their point total to six after easily handling Armenia 4-0 on Wednesday. Bosnia now has a goal-differential of 8 which could be a factor by the end of group play.
