Medical Helicopter Crash Kills Four in Illinois

A medical helicopter carrying four people including 13-month-old girl crashed late Wednesday evening, killing all on board.

The helicopter was transporting the young patient from Valley West Community Hospital in Sandwich to the Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago when it reportedly hit a guy wire attached to a radio station tower and crashed into a field in Aurora.

A two-member crew along with a nurse and the young girl were aboard the Air Angels Inc. operated Bell-222 helicopter.
