World Cup 2010 European Qualifier Group Nine Scores for Oct. 15
The Group Nine 2010 World Cup European qualifiers picked up on Wednesday and the Netherlands continued to prove they were the most dominant country while Iceland picked up their first win in four matches.
Having already dropped Macedonia and Iceland, the Netherlands took care of business against Norway on Wednesday with a 1-0 victory to move to nine points on three matches. They hold a commanding five-point lead in group play and are a heavy favorite to advance.
Iceland damaged Macedonia’s chances of a 2010 South Africa trip with a 1-0 win on Wednesday. It was Iceland’s first victory in four matches and now has four points, tied with Scotland for second in the group.
