AP Top 25 College Football Schedule: #10 Georgia Bulldogs Takes on #22 Vanderbilt Commodores
#10 Georgia Bulldogs will host the #22 Vanderbilt Commodores in an SEC East battle on Saturday at 12:30pm EST.
Vandy (5-1, 3-1 SEC) looks to defeat UGA (5-1, 2-1 SEC) for the second time in three years as they bounce back from their upset loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Vanderbilt began the season undefeated prior to the loss.
Georgia also looks to bounce back from their shocking loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide three weeks ago. The Bulldogs entered the preseason ranked No. 1 for the first time in school history.
UGA quarterback Matthew Stafford and running back Knowshon Moreno entered the season with a lot of expectations. The two have had good seasons, but have yet to meet their hype. However, freshman wide receiver A.J. Green has matched his hype, leading the Bulldogs in receiving.
Stafford leads the SEC in total offense, while Moreno is fourth in the conference in rushing yards. Stafford leads the SEC's top-ranked total offense and passing offense.
However, Vanderbilt is dead-last in the SEC in both categories. Despite their 5-1 record, on paper, the Commodores are not very good. Their total defense and rushing defense is 10th in the conference as well.
