Johnny Bennett to Begin Recording The Violet Hush October 27

Singer, songwriter Johnny Bennett works with Producer Duane Lundy on Bennett’s fourth album.

Johnny Bennett will begin recording his fourth album, The Violet Hush, with producer Duane Lundy.  The two will hit the studio together on Monday, October 27.  Bennett plans on spending just a couple weeks recording and ten days to master the project.  He is very excited about the album is currently booking nationwide shows to promote the album’s release.

Bennett has been involved in music since 1994 and recorded his first album in 1998.  Since then, he has released four full length albums and a handful of EPs, including his most recent EP, Red Light Room, released in 2007.  Bennett describes his music as acoustic, pop rock, drawing inspiration from artists such as Nick Drake, U2 and Elvis Costello.  Although he usually performs as a solo artist, he sometimes performs in a three or five piece band.
