Michelle Palmer, Vince Acors Sentenced to Three Months for Having Sex on Dubai Beach

Michelle Palmer and Vince Acors, two British tourists, were sentenced to three months in jail Thursday after being arrested for having sex on a Dubai beach.

Palmer, 36, and Acors, 34, were sentenced by a Dubai court, fined £200 and ordered to be deported upon their release from prison.

Palmer denies having sex with Acors and intends to appeal the verdict as a "matter of principle". She is "desperate" to return to Britain.

Palmer and Acors remain free on bail but are barred from speaking directly to the press or leaving the country.

Palmer, who was fired as a publishing executive after her arrest, claims that she and Acors were "hugging and kissing" on the beach, but claims said DNA evidence proves she didn not have sexual intercourse with him.

Acors, who was visiting on business, and Palmer began their encounter with a champagne brunch at a five-star hotel near the airport. They were arrested on a public beach, later that night.
