Levi Stubbs, Member of Motown’s Four Tops, Dies at 72

Levi Stubbs, a member of Motown’s legendary group the Four Tops, has died at the age of 72 after passing away in his sleep.

Stubbs was an original member of the group that produced #1 hits “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)” and “Reach Out I’ll be There” as well as several others that charted in the Top Ten.

He had not toured with the band for several years due to poor health and his death leaves Abdul Fakir as the lone surviving member of the Four Tops.

In 1990 the Four Tops were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
