Former UCLA Director of Willed Body Program Pleads Guilty to Selling Body Parts

Henry Reid, former director of the UCLA medical school’s Willed Body Program, has pled guilty to selling donated body parts during a five year period from 1999-2004.

Reid, 58, will be sentenced in January and is likely to spend four years and four months in a California prison. He has also been ordered to repay UCLA nearly $1 million.

The school became aware of the sale of body parts when an attorney representing a buyer notified the school that he needed to be refunded money because some of the specimens had to be returned.
