AP Top 25 College Football Scores: #6 USC Trojans Roll to 69-0 Rout Over Washington State Cougars

Mark Sanchez was 15/25 passing for 253 yards and five touchdowns, Broderick Green rushed for 126 yards and two TDs, Stafon Johnson had 111 yards on ten rushes, and CJ Gable added 104 yards on the ground and scored three rushing touchdowns as the #6 USC Trojans (5-1, 3-1) ran over the Washington State Cougars (1-7, 0-5) 69-0 in Pac-10 action on Saturday.

Sanchez tossed a pair of touchdowns to Patrick Turner, a 23-yarder and 14-yarder, and a 3-yard TD toss to Ronald Johnson in the first quarter as the Trojans built a 21-0 lead and after Gable scored on a 17-yard run early in the second quarter Sanchez hit Ronald Johnson on a 16-yard touchdown and then Anthony McCoy on a 21-yarder as USC carried a 41-0 lead into halftime.

USC went exclusively to the running game in the second half and the result was the same as Gable added his third TD of the game, a 3-yard run, in the third quarter and then Broderick Green scored on runs of 1 and 18 in the fourth before Gabel added his fourth touchdown of the game on a 4-yard run to put the score at 69-0.

The Trojans collected 624 yards of total offense while their defense limited the Cougars to just 116 yards, forced three turnovers, and allowed them to convert just 1-13 third down conversions and gave them to collect four first downs.

USC will travel to Arizona next week while Washington State travels to Stanford on Nov. 1.
