Trent Edwards was 25/30 passing for 261 yards and a touchdown, Marshawn Lynch rushed for 70 yards and a TD and Lee Evans had eight catches for 89 yards and a touchdown as the Buffalo Bills (5-1) beat the San Diego Chargers (3-4) 23-14 on Sunday.
Rian Lindell put the Bills on the board in the first quarter with a 38-yard field goal but the Chargers answered with a Philip Rivers 14-yard touchdown pass to Malcom Floyd with less than a minute in the opening frame.
Buffalo grabbed the lead back in the second quarter after Rivers fumbled as Edwards drove the Bills down the field and hit Evans on a 2-yard touchdown toss and Lindell added to the lead with a 27-yard field goal with 19 seconds left in the half.
San Diego jumped back in front in the third quarter on a Philips to Vincent Jackson 12-yard touchdown pass but once again the Bills answered with a 9-yard run that put Buffalo up 20-14. Lindell clinched the game with a 44-yard field goal with 3:21 left in the fourth quarter.
