Cole Puffinburger Found Safe in Las Vegas

A 6-year-old boy kidnapped from his home Wednesday has been found alive in Las Vegas, Nevada. Police say Cole Puffinburger was found “safe” walking alone on a side walk on Las Vegas’ east side.

“Cole Puffinburger has been found, he is safe and in our custody,” Captain Vince Cannito said Sunday morning.

Flyers about the child’s abduction were posted throughout the city. Someone called in and said they saw a boy matching Cole’s description walking alone on a sidewalk. “Detectives rushed there, found the boy and confirmed it was Cole,” Cannito added.

The boy was taken from his mother’s home Wednesday by three armed men. The unidentified men tied up his mother and her fiancé before ransacking the home and taking Cole. The kidnapping is believed to be linked with a drug case involving Cole’s grandfather, Clemons F. Tinnemeyer, and several drug dealers.  

A nationwide Amber Alert was issued after the abduction. Cole’s father, Robert Puffinburger, said his emotion after learning his son was found was “indescribable.” “I’m just glad he’s safe. I can’t wait to see him!” he said.
