Prison Riot in Mexico Leaves More than a Dozen Inmates Dead

An early morning prison riot in Reynosa, Mexico has left at least 17 inmates dead and several more injured.

The riot was believed to have been sparked by rival gangs and involved gunfire between the two factions as well as a fire that may have been deliberately set. According to officials several charred bodies were among the dead.

Prison guards and police were able to end the riot.
