Taylor Meyer, Missing Plainville, MA Girl, Found Dead in Norfolk Woods
Taylor Meyer, the missing
Meyer, 17, was reported missing after attending an underage drinking party at a vacant airport in Norfolk. Meyer, a senior at King Philip Regional High School, was last seen leaving the party around 11pm on Friday night.
The party was for the King Philip homecoming football game, which took place hours earlier. Police investigated several teens that accompanied Meyer, a native of Plainville, MA, to the game and to the party. The teens told investigators that there was alcohol and a bonfire at the party.
Meyer's body was discovered after a search by police about 100 yards north of Miller Street in Norfolk. She was about 100 yards away from the location of the party on Friday night.
A family member reported her missing around 5pm on Saturday. Police began searching for Meyer soon after the report was filed.
Meyer was a senior at King Philip who planned to attend college next year to study business, according to Richard Robbat, superintendent of the King Philip Regional School District.
Police have yet to determine the cause of death.
