American Cornhole Organization, the governing body of the Sport of Conhole, recently launched CornholePlayers.com a community website dedicated to helping cornhole players find places to play cornhole tournaments, leagues, and cornhole for fun.
Cornhole is a game the object of which is to throw a bag of corn, or nowadays resin filled bags, at an inverted 2’ x 4’ board with a 6” hole cut out. The cornhole boards are placed 24’ front edge to front edge, 27’ for the pros. Two or four players can play each getting 4 rotating throws. A player wants to score 21 points before the opponent. Scoring is 3 points for in the hole – cornhole – 1 point for on the board - woody. Your opponent can knock your corn bag off the board or neutralize your score by throwing the same.
The game has seen exponential growth over the past three years and has gone from a backyard game to organized cornhole leagues, tournaments, and gatherings. There is even a professional players cornhole tour ending in Las Vegas, Nevada where the King of Cornhole is crowned.
With so many taking up the game of cornhole throughout the States it became apparent to American Cornhole Organization that there was a need to create a cornhole players hub where players could go to locate leagues and tournaments in their area. Frank Geers President of the ACO calls CornholePlayers.com "the Yellow Pages of Cornhole". With easy to find links for Local and National Cornhole Tournaments and Leagues a cornhole player can find cornhole action even when traveling to other cities. Sports Centers, clubs, bars, list their cornhole game information on CornholePlayers.com to give interested players quick access to cornhole information and locations.
