NFL Monday Night Football Scores: New England Patriots Blast Denver Broncos

Matt Cassel was 18/24 passing for 185 yards and three touchdowns, Sammy Morris rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown, Randy Moss had 69 yards receiving and a pair of TDs and the New England Patriots (4-2) forced five turnovers in a 41-7 blasting of the Denver Broncos (4-3) on Monday Night Football.

The Patriots dominated every area of the game on Monday night as they blanked the Broncos in the first half and carried a 20-0 lead into the break. Stephen Gostkowski kicked a pair of field goals in the first quarter while Morris scored on a 4-yard run and Moss nabbed a 14-yard TD reception from Cassel to account for New England’s scoring.

New England continued to pour it on in the second half as Cassel tossed a 27-yard touchdown to Moss and then hooked up with Wes Welker on a 6-yard pass to push the Patriots advantage to 34-0 heading into the fourth quarter.

Denver finally got on the board in the fourth as Jay Cutler found Daniel Graham on a 10-yard pass to avoid the shutout but the Patriots got the points back on Benjarvus Green-Ellis’ one-yard touchdown run, the first of his NFL career.
