The 'Celebration' singer - who released her last album,
'Hard Candy' in 2008 - posted on her facebook page to say she's ready to make
new tracks and appeal for upcoming new musicians to get in touch with her.
She wrote: "It's official! I need to move. I need to
sweat. I need to make new music! Music I can dance to.
"I'm on the lookout for the maddest, sickest, most bad
a*s people to collaborate with. I'm just saying."
Madonna has a long history of using the best producers on
her albums, boosting her own career but also helping put them in the spotlight,
cutting tracks with dance producers including Mirwais, William Orbit, Stuart
Price, Nellee Hooper, Timbaland and Dallas Austin.
Madonna has been working on directing her film about the
British royalty 'W.E' throughout 2010 after finishing her 'Sticky And Sweet'
tour in September 2009.
How the singer will release any new material is also in
question, as her contact with record label Warner Brothers came to a close with
her last album - greatest hits compilation 'Celebration', released in 2009 -
and she presently has no deal in place for new music, although she has a
touring and promotions contract with Live Nation.
French DJ David Guetta said he had worked on a new track
with Madonna in January, but was unsure whether it will ever surface.
He said: "It's a tricky situation, because she's now
out of a record deal. We don't even know what's going to happen with it. It's a
huge record, so it's really frustrating. The track is part of the Warner deal,
but it's not on ['Celebration'], so why would they invest any money in it?
"I was really unlucky with that one."
