AP Top 25 College Football Schedule: #7 Georgia Bulldogs Battle #13 LSU Tigers

The #7 Georgia Bulldogs will travel to Baton Rouge to take on the #13 LSU Tigers in a tough SEC battle. The game will take place on Saturday at 3:30pm ET on CBS.

UGA (6-1, 3-1 SEC) was ranked No. 1 in the AP preseason Top 25 rankings for the first time in school history. They were the favorites to win the national championship. That was until their 41-30 home loss to Alabama on Sept. 27 in which Georgia fell behind 31-0 at halftime.

Now UGA is trying to return to the top of the SEC and the apex of college football, starting by winning their next two games since the Alabama loss.

LSU (5-1, 3-1 SEC), the reigning BCS national champions, began defense of its national title ranked No. 7, and had risen three spots in the AP Top 25 when they headed into Florida on Oct. 11 for a showdown between the last two BCS champions. However, Florida routed the Tigers, 51-21.

LSU has made a few adjustments to their offense after the loss, but none is bigger than their move of Charles Scott to fullback to allow Keiland Williams more carries. Williams started last season, but Scott began the season as the starting running back.

Scott is averaging 105.2 rushing yards per game, fourth in the SEC, but he'll only be the second-most proficient rusher on the field Saturday. UGA's Knowshon Moreno is averaging 108.9 ypg and has 11 touchdowns, tops in the SEC.

Moreno is one of the leaders of the Georgia offense, along with quarterback Matthew Stafford and freshman sensation A.J. Green.

Stafford, the conference's second-highest rated quarterback (142.6) behind reigning Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow of Florida, leads the SEC's top total offense and passing offense. Green leads the SEC in receiving yards per game (81.86 ypg), while LSU's Brandon LaFell leads the conference in receptions per game (5.5).

Georgia has not played at LSU since 2003 and haven't faced the Tigers since they defeated them 34-14 in the 2005 SEC Championship.
