Alberta Ferretti plans to use "real women" to model her new collection.

A team including actresses Camilla Belle and Talulah Riley, singer Olivia Ong, author Katy Saunders, Italian socialites, a family lawyer and a blogger will take to the catwalk to show the Italian fashion designer's new limited collection at the 79th edition of the giant fashion tradeshow Pitti Uomo on January 11.

Alberta decided to include non professional models because "my muses are always the women of today. I wanted to show my outfits on women, not only on models like in Milan."

She added: "It will be about women and not only the clothes. I wanted to personalise it.'

She described the collection as "demi-couture," and said it will include a wedding dress and cocktail and evenings gowns.

The designer has also pledged to make a donation to The Jordan River Foundation - a non-profit Jordanian non-governmental organisation working to empower women and children, and chaired by Queen Rania of Jordon.

The queen has been invited to attend the fashion show at the Santo Stefano al Ponte church in Florence, Italy.
