Trendrr Tracks and Graphs Blog Buzz for Your Favorite TV Shows

Showtime’s Dexter Shows Huge Viral Growth Since July

As measurement of online content consumption becomes ever more important for brands and entertainment properties, marketers and advertisers are quickly realizing that simply tracking views for a video is not the best way to determine the impact of online campaigns. With limited time and resources, brands often fail to capture and illustrate the reach and engagement of their efforts. However, with advancements in gathering and aggregating market intelligence, Trendrr now allows marketers and consumers to track and graph trends with a very small time commitment and huge rewards. For instance, marketers or consumers of popular cable channel Showtime wishing to look beyond the simple view counts and into the blog buzz for their properties need only to input a few key terms into Trendrr and simply watch the trends over time.

As illustrated below in a graph charting blog buzz from July 29 through October 21 of 2008, Dexter has far outpaced Weeds, The Tudors and Brotherhood, gaining 8,062 new blog mentions in just under three months, from 20,184 to 28,246. During that same period, Weeds gained 2,998 new blog mentions bringing the total up to 22,920. The Tudors and Brotherhood saw gains of 1,476 and 57 new blog mentions respectively. However, on a percentage basis during that same period the growth for each showed The Tudors at 92%, Weeds at 20%, Dexter at 68% and Brotherhood 17%.   Those wishing to see more details can use Trendrr’s flash based time scaling and annotation features to view data by day, week or month and add context to inflection points within a graph.
