The latest report from Alsbridge
Inc., warns CIOs to watch out for ‘stealth clouds’ which can erode the
strength of a company’s internal IT brand.
According to the report, ‘stealth clouds’ are turning up on
employee laptops, PDAs and other mobile devices thanks to the prevalence and
easy adoption of cloud technologies throughout the enterprise.
"As the saying goes, the best defense is a good offense.
In the case of ever expanding cloud technologies, it is crucial for companies
to get ahead of the underlying need for rapidly emerging services delivered by
cloud applications,” explains Ben
Trowbridge, CEO, Alsbridge, Inc.
So how do CIOs defend against stealth cloud?
The report offers these tips:
“As you achieve success, your IT service brand improves. Instead of the business units instigating maverick spending and unleashing stealth clouds that will inevitably produce stormy weather, they will be beating a path to your door for a better mousetrap,” says Trowbridge.
