At Least Two Dozen Killed in India after Blast in Fireworks Factory

An explosion at an illegal fireworks factory in India on Thursday has left more than two dozen people dead, including eight children, and several more injured.

The blast occurred near Jaipur in the state of Rajasthan and completely destroyed the building as well as homes that stood near the factory.

Officials have said illegal fireworks factories are often set up around this time of the year because many Indians celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, which is to take place next week.
