Carmelo Anthony will not play in Denver’s game tonight versus the
Spurs. Melo is being excused due to a
death in his family.
The team announced the news Wednesday morning. Nuggets general manager Masai
Ujiri said in a release that the organization supports Anthony "during
this difficult time for him and his family."
Anthony has been the subject of trade rumors since he spurned the team's
three-year, $65 million extension over the summer. He's averaging 24 points and
8.3 rebounds this season.
