Joe Webb takes Brett Favre’s place

The Minnesota Vikings are wasting no time to prepare Joe Webb to take the place of Brett Favre.  Favre will be unable to start due to a concussion during Monday night’s game against the Bears.

Interim coach Leslie Frazier says Favre's status will be day to day, and he'll take daily tests until he's cleared by the team's medical staff. Until then, Favre won't be allowed to take the field.

The Vikings have two games left. Favre has said this will be his final season.

Frazier says the plan is to have rookie Joe Webb start Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles unless Favre's condition improves.
