Hulk Hogan is “recovering smoothly” after undergoing back surgery.
The TNA wrestling star – who married girlfriend Jennifer McDaniels last
week – is in hospital after a 10-hour operation to fuse his spine on
Monday (20.12.10) but is doing well and hoping to leave the facility
soon.
He said: "It was a pretty lengthy surgical procedure. Doctors did some
fusion work and rebuilding and restructuring of the spine. But he's
recovering smoothly.
"We hope he'll be able to leave the hospital relatively quickly. He's
always taken very good care of himself and in very good physical shape."
The 57-year-old star – whose real name is Terry Bollea – is due to be
assessed by a physical therapist soon and can’t wait to be allowed home.
The source added to RadarOnline.com: “The therapist will get him moving
and hopefully back home in a few days. If Terry had his way, he'd go
home tomorrow."
Hulk tweeted about his impending operation on Monday.
He wrote: “Going for broke in six hrs.rollin all the marbles,I bet on me..I love all u maniacs! Se all u guys soon (sic)”
In June, the sportsman underwent surgery in June for an old wrestling
interview and was hospitalised in September after experiencing
unrelated back spasms.
