Deadly Shooting Outside DHL Offices in Kabul, Afghanistan Claims Lives of Two Foreigners

Two foreigners working as executives for the international shipping company DHL in Kabul, Afghanistan were killed by a man hired as a security guard for the company. The guard then turned the gun on himself and took his own life.

According to reports DHL’s country director and his deputy were pulling up to the company’s offices when the guard just opened fire on their vehicle.

The executives were a British national and a South African national.

Kabul had been considered relatively safe over the past several months but there has been a surge of violence in the Afghan capital as Taliban insurgents have targeted the country’s military forces.
