AP Top 25 College Football Scores: #8 Texas Tech Red Raiders Remain Unbeaten, Embarrass #19 Kansas Jayhawks in Big 12 Showdown

Graham Harrell was 34/42 passing for 386 yards and five touchdowns and added a TD on the ground, Michael Crabtree had 70 yards receiving and a pair of TDs, and the #8 Texas Tech Red Raiders (8-0, 4-0) forced five turnovers against the Kansas Jayhawks (5-3, 2-2) and rolled to an easy 63-21 blowout in Big 12 action on Saturday.

Both teams came out firing in the first quarter as Harrell tossed TDs of 55-yards to Edward Britton and 4-yards to Crabtree while Todd Reesing put Kansas on the board with a 33-yard touchdown to Kerry Meier and a 10-yard TD toss to Dezmon Briscoe and the score was tied 14-14 heading into the second.

Unfortunately for Kansas the Red Raiders continued their assault while the Jayhawks appeared to shut down. Harrell added a pair of touchdown tosses to Eric Morris while Shannon Woods found the endzone on a 3-yard run to take a 35-14 lead into halftime.

It didn’t get any better for Kansas in the second half as Harrell boosted the lead to 42-14 on a one-yard run and then he found Crabtree on a 16-yard TD pass, his fifth touchdown toss of the game. Woods then added his second rushing touchdown of the game, a one-yard plunge, and the Jayhawks were staring at a 56-14 deficit when the fourth quarter started.

Texas Tech will host the Texas Longhorns next week while Kansas welcomes Kansas State in a BIG 12 rivalry game.
