American Helicopters Carry Out Attacks Inside Syria

Syrian media reports have indicated American helicopters have been carrying out attacks inside the country along the border it shares with Iraq.

Those reports have alleged the attacks took place in Abu Kamal and at least one house was destroyed, killing a man and his four sons along with two workers. Death tolls have varied as the news has come in with some reports claiming nine dead and more than a dozen injured.

There has been no confirmation by U.S. military officials that their troops have carried out any attacks.

The area in which the attacks allegedly occurred has been a known route through which insurgents cross into Iraqi territory and the U.S. has accused Syria of not doing enough to stop the flow.
