NFL Scores Week 8: Dallas Cowboys Snap Two-Game Skid, Drop Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Defensive Battle

Marion Barber rushed for 71 yards, Roy Williams hauled in his first touchdown in a Dallas Cowboys (5-3) uniform and the defense held when it needed in a 13-9 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-3) on Sunday to snap a two-game skid.

Neither offense produced much as the Buccaneers totaled 262 yards while the Cowboys managed just 172 yards but it was a 2-yard touchdown toss from Brad Johnson to Roy Williams with one second remaining in the first half that made the difference.

Nick Folk pushed the Cowboys lead to 13-6 in the third quarter with a 45-yard field goal and that would be enough as Tampa Bay couldn’t move the ball against the Cowboys defense and could only muster a third field goal from Matt Bryant for their final points.
