Two teens from Missouri missing for more than a week have been found safe in Iowa.
According to authorities Christina “Paige” Alley, 14, and Levi Carlson, 16, were found on Sunday huddled under a highway bridge in Council Bluffs, Iowa. A massive search for the pair had been launched over a week ago for the two after they disappeared following a high school football game in Missouri.
While police initially thought the two may have been victims they quickly began to focus on Carlson as a suspect.
Over their nine days on the road Alley and Carlson spent time in Omaha, Neb and Council Bluffs, living on the streets. They were found on Sunday and Alley was reunited with her parents who told media that her daughter feared returning because she thought she would be arrested.
