Cristiano Ronaldo Named FifPro World Footballer of the Year

Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the FifPro World Footballer of the Year after a sensational year in which he netted 42 goals for Manchester United and starred for his Portuguese national squad in several international matches.

The 23-year-old Ronaldo took the honors as professional players from around the world voted the star the world’s best.

Ronaldo was an integral part of Manchester United’s Premier League and Champions League championships last year.

He is considered a heavy favorite for the FIFA World Player of the Year.
