New York Subway Stalls in Heavy Snow
Two New York City subway cars were stalled in snow drifts this morning. The stalls happened on the north and south sides of Kennedy Airport in Queens.
Transit spokesman Charles Seaton blamed the stalls on snow drifts and ice accumulating on the third rail.
One train has been sent a rescue car, while passengers on the second train have been stuck since around 1:00 this morning.
Passengers on the cars are stuck without food, water or heat according to Christopher Mullen, who took the subway because he couldn't find a car service or taxi operating on Sunday night.
