Two UCA Shooting Suspects Apprehended, Police Search for Two More

Police have apprehended two suspects in the fatal shooting at University of Central Arkansas but are still searching for two more.

One suspect was taken into custody shortly after the shooting and a second turned himself in. Witnesses accounts of the shooting, which left two students dead and one person injured, lead to the arrests. The four suspects are from the Conway, Arkansas area. It is believed that the shooters did not know their victims. The motive of the attack is still unclear.

The victims have been identified as 18-year-old Ryan Henderson, who died at the scene, and 19-year-old Chavares Block, who died at Conway Regional Medical Center.  Martrevis Noman, 19, was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg. He is not a university student.

The shooting occurred at 9:22 p.m. Sunday evening outside a dorm. The university was put on lockdown and Monday’s classes were cancelled.
