Jay-Z Links with Coldplay on New Mixtape, "Lost" Remix for "Prospekt's March"

Jay-Z has teamed up with British rock legends Coldplay on two projects, according to reports on Monday.

Jay-Z has been featured on a recent remix of Coldplay's new single "Lost", their third single off of their latest album Viva La Vida or Death and All of His Friends

The "Lost" remix will be included on Coldplay's new EP entitled Prospekt's March and the deluxe edition of Viva La Vida, which is entitled Viva La Vida - Prospekt's March Edition.

Prospekt's March, the upcoming Coldplay project, will be released on November 25, along with the deluxe edition. The new album features eight songs that were not finished in March, which was their deadline for Viva La Vida.

In addition to the remix, Jay-Z and Coldplay will converge a new mixtape, which will merge Coldplay's music with Jay-Z's lyrics.

The new project, called "Viva La Hova," was created by Mick Boogie and Terry Urban. The 19 track mixtape is available for download at www.vivalahova.com.

Jay-Z has previously done this with Linkin Park for the mash album called Collision Course and has worked with Coldplay on the song "Beach Chair" from his 2006 album Kingdom Come.

Jay-Z's new album The Blueprint 3 is set for a December 2 release date, but recent reports state that the album will not be released this year. The rapper has yet to confirm whether the rumors are true.

The Blueprint 3, Jay-Z's 10th studio album, will be his final album under his Def Jam contract before he begins recording under his label Roc Nation, his new record label under Live Nation.
