Brad Cooper Charged with Murder of Wife, Nancy Cooper

A Wake County, North Carolina grand jury has indicted Brad Cooper, 35, for the murder of his wife, Nancy Cooper, ending an investigation that stretched several months following the discovery of her body.

Nancy Cooper, 34,  was reported missing on July 12 after she left her home to go jogging but two days later her body was discovered by a man walking his dog about three miles from her home.

Police began investigating Brad Cooper after it was discovered the couple had been having marital problems and Nancy was making plans for a separation. The couple had two children together and both young girls have been staying with Nancy’s family in Canada since the investigation began.

If found guilty Brad Cooper could face life in prison or the death penalty.
