Cat Deeley plans to work with Ant and Dec again.
The 34-year-old host – who appeared with the presenting duo for three
years until 2001 on Saturday morning children’s TV show ‘SM:TV Live’ –
is still friends with the pair and admitted they have regularly
discussed finding a new project to appear in together.
She said: “We talk about working together. I’d definitely love it to
happen. We haven’t decided exactly what we’d like to do but we’ve all
agreed that we will at some point in the future.
“We had such an amazing time before.”
Cat – who has fronted US show ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and
‘American Idol’ - admits she, Ant and Dec were lucky to be allowed to
host the show for as long as they did because they were learning as
they went.
She said in an interview with the Daily Mirror newspaper: “We literally
grew up together. We were so bad at presenting to begin with. But we
were lucky, we had a great commissioner who let us run with it and just
said, ‘I think these kids have got something.’
“Then it all came together and we developed timing and chemistry. It became that thing you can’t manufacture.”
